Test of Time

Classic Converse All-Stars have withstood the test of time. While they may not be at the forefront of athletic shoes anymore, they are just as prominent today as they were 60 years ago. They come in hundreds of colors, materials, and styles. You can even design your own pair online and have them shipped to your door. The possibilities are endless. And younger kids have picked up on their appeal.

Ever since my brother started drum lessons at the beginning of the summer, he's been begging for a pair of lo-tops. He finally got them this weekend as he was doing his back-to-school shopping.

Too clean for my taste.

That's more like it! These are my Chucks from high school. I wore them nearly every day of freshman and sophomore year. These shoes have seen better days but they have character.

Oh gosh...

Here's a little side-by-side action so you can get the full comparison.

Super rough.

Look at the size of those things!

Homeboy is only 11!

Excellent use of bokeh. :)

I'm pretty sure Homeboy grew at least a foot from the last time I saw him ...

I love the old school Converse! We saw a car (one of these square cube cars) that was painted like a converse box! So fun!
